Hi! I’m Catherine.

Thanks for your interest in Catherine Lockett Fostering Services.

I see myself as a passionate and driven individual who has spent her whole working life trying to make a difference, whether that be in small or big numbers. I’m really proud of my achievements in Fostering so far, and have loved building CLFS over the last two years, into the success it currently is. I owned an agency called Classic Foster Care and worked tirelessly with my amazing team to make it the success that it was. Here’s a little bit about my experience within the fostering industry:

• I was the Registered Manager of a Local Authority Fostering Agency, and in that role I led the team from an Ofsted rating of “Requires Improvement” to “Outstanding”.
• I then set up my own independent fostering agency, Classic Foster Care, as I was extremely passionate about offering the right support to carers and children placed in care. This was something that I felt was a challenge in the Local Authority. I, once again, achieved an “Outstanding” judgement from Ofsted, this inspection was within one year of the company opening. I owned the agency for 7 years then sold the company to a national independent fostering agency. I chose to do this as it enabled us to draw on larger resources, which really helped develop the level of care we could provide.
• Most recently, I worked as Regional Director for the larger company. In this role, I was responsible for over 230 foster carers who provide care to over 320 children. In our most recent Ofsted Inspection we achieved an “Outstanding” judgement in all areas.
• I then decided to leave my post as Regional Director to pursue new opportunities and to work in other areas that I am passionate about. This is what you see today, in the form of Catherine Lockett Fostering Services.
